Don
Bono was born and raised in Chicago and has been interested
in art and architecture from childhood. Don says, “I’m
half Italian, half Irish and all artist.”
Over the years Don’s work was displayed mostly in the homes
and offices of relatives and friends. In 1975 however, he designed
a poster titled Chicago: The City That Works. He presented it to
the mayor who proclaimed the work “The Chicago Poster.”
